Legalworld.bg: The Minister of Justice Began Consultations Concerning Changes in the Model of the Judiciary
"The package of measures have to guarantee the set up of a responsible and effective management of the judiciary", is said in the Ministry of Justice announcement. After being voted the measures will be put forward for discussion in the Council of Ministers and the National Assembly.
The meeting was attended by Vladislav Slavov (The Union of Bulgarian Jurists), Nelly Kutskova (Bulgarian Judges Association), Yonko Grozev (Center for Liberal Strategies), Bilyana Gyaurova and Hristo Ivanov (Bulgarian Institute for Legal Initiatives), Dimitur Markov (Center for Study of Democracy), Nikolay Runevski (Bulgarian Lawyers for Human Rights), Diana Kovacheva (Transparancy International - Bulgaria), Georgy Milkov (Center of NGO in Razgrad), Joeri Tavanier (representative of the European Commission) and Reneta Nikolova ("Juornalists Against Corruption").
