Following the TJAI methodology BILI composed a profile of the Prosecutor General - Boris Velchev. Mr Velchev is nominated by the President of the Republic Rosen Plevneliev for a judge at the the Constitutional Court from his quota. Plevneliev stated in his motives that under the leadership of Boris Velchev the Supreme Cassation Prosecutor's Office has become significantly more transparent and open to public scrutiny as an institution. Plevneliev noted that the Prosecutor General is well known in the professional circles and his academic and legal experience make him the ideal candidate for the post.
