Today the Supreme Judicial Council voted Penka Bogdanova and Borislav Sarafov for deputies of the elected Prosecutor General, following his own proposition. The other two deputies must be evaluated on a periodical basis first (Kamen Mihov, Prosecutor at the Supreme Prosecution Office of Cassation and Asya Petrova, District Prosecutor of Shumen) and only then voted officially by the Council. Ms Galya Toneva, who was also a candidate for the office will continue working as a deputy of the Prosecutor General. Despite her initital decision to resign, Tsatsarov convinced her to remain in office.
At the today’s meeting the SJC demoted Galya Gugusheva as a deputy of the President of the Appellate Specialized Prosecution Office. From now on she will continue working at this Prosecution office as a regular prosecutor.
