As part of the Transparent Judicial Appointments Initiative and in relation with the forthcoming contest for President of Karlovo District Court BILI prepared and distributed profiles of the candidates for this position: judge Anna Georgieva Georgieva, judge Asima Kostova Vangelova-Petrova and judge Ivan Dimitrov Bedachev. Currently they are all practicing at Karlovo District Court. A new element was added in those profiles – extracts of the novel Self evaluation judiciary inquiry form developed by BILI.
In the course of preparing the profiles, BILI received positive feedback from the profiled candidates. This is an indication of our success in establishing a culture of dialogue between the civil society and the judiciary.
