The Bulgarian Ombudsman Mr Penchev is obviously supporting the newly elected Prosecutor Generel. In an interview for BNT he stated that is pointless to dispute the proceed election of Prosecutor General. Mr Tsatsarov was elected with majority of 18 votes in his favor. The other two candidacies were not even voted on by the Supreme Judicial Council.
“The election of Prosecutor General is a closed topic. It is counter-productive to question the procedure before the Constitutional Court as the Bulgarian Judges Association is proposing. “ said Mr Penchev and commented that it is even more illogical such action to be proposed by jurists.
