Meadiapool.bg: SJC Members Will Not Manage to Personally Evaluate the Performance of Magistrates

The Supreme Judicial Council needs to evaluate the performance of almost 200 magistrates in 2013. It is impossible to gain personal impression of each of them, announced the Head of the Evaluation Committee with the SJC Ms. Milka Itova.

Under the Judiciary System Act the magistrates’ work should be evaluated every four years.

Ms. Itova pointed out that with this workload the members of the evaluating committee will not be able to visit all courts, prosecution offices and investigation services offices to get direct impressions of the work of the magistrates before the evaluations be voted in the SJC.

A partial solution will be found in judiciary bodies where several magistrates shall be evaluated in the same time. Members of the committee will be sent there to get acquainted with their work.
