The Ethics Commission with the Supreme Judicial Council found no evidence of violation of the Ethical code of the Bulgarian magistrates related to the real estate bargains between judge Veselina Teneva and her mother. According to the members of the Commission these are strictly personal property relations. In addition, Judge Teneva has declared her property status each year before the Bulgarian National Audit Office.
Judge Teneva initiated the hearing herself. She personally contacted the Chair of the Commission Yasen Todorov and asked to answer publicly to all questions hovering in public nowadays. She did not answer who actually proposed her to be the new Chief Judicial Inspector.
