Regardless of the huge scandal at the SJC, a checkup of the random case assignment was carried out today at the Sofia City Court. Court President Ms Vladimira Yaneva considered that there were no obstacles for BILI to take part in the assigned checkup.
“We received full support by the court today. I would like to point out that we are independent organization and as such we are carrying our own check up, which will be completed with a report.”, said Hristo Ivanov, program director of BILI, who took part in the today’s checkup. The experts from the Justice Development Program decided not to take part in the checkup after the unprecedented scandal at the Council last week.
