Mr. Boiko Naidenov Takes Office as Head of the National Investigation Services for a Second Mandate


Mr. Boiko Naidenov was reelected as Head of the National Investigation Services. After a three-and-a-half hour hearing of the two candidates (Boiko Naidenov and Evgeni Dikov), his nomination was supported by 18 Supreme Judicial Council members who voted “in favor”, as opposed to the 7 votes “against”. Mr. Naidenov’s candidacy was proposed by 7 SJC members, amongst who the newly appointed Constitutional Court Justice Boris Velchev, a Prosecutor General at the time.
