Call for participants: Joint bench-bar Romanian-Bulgarian workshop

Call for participants

                Bulgarian Institute for Legal Initiatives would like to invite you to apply for a joint bench-bar Bulgarian-Romanian workshop under the project “Regulation 1215/2012: What it Offers and How it Works?”. The project is executed by BILI in partnership with the National Institute of Justice (BG) and the National Institute of Magistracy (RO). The project is realized with a grant from the European Union, Justice Programme 2014-2020.

                The main aim of the bench-bar workshop is to gather together judges, lawyers and bailiffs who will participate in discussions and workshops, reflecting on the new elements in Regulation (EU) No 1215/2012 of the European Parliament and of the Council of 12 December 2012 on jurisdiction and the recognition and enforcement of judgments in civil and commercial matters. Another aim is achieving a more coherent understanding on the Regulation between the different legal professionals vis-à-vis the best practices applied in Bulgaria and Romania.

                30 participants (15 from Bulgaria and 15 from Romania) are invited to take part in the workshop that will take place between 29 June and 1 July in Arbanassi, Veliko Tarnovo. Applicants are kindly asked to send CV and motivation letter to office@bili-bg.org no later than 10 June 2016, 1700 h. Successful candidates will be contacted no later than 15 June 2016. The working language of the seminar is English and no translation is provided.

                Travel and accommodation costs will be covered by organizers.
